Making pictures around water is a favorite location for landscape photographers; the reflections of the images' key elements are an important bonus to the composition. Once again, I decided to reach out into my right brain and see whether I could create a painterly composition of the lily pads, and reeds. Starting with my original image, I used my editing software to shape, soften, blur and smudge the key elements into a different type of photographic visual. The final design has been printed on fine art Somerset Velvet art paper.

There is One Creator who creates everything perfectly, though we may perceive that it is imperfect. The imperfections is our life serve as reminders to open our hearts to different beauty.

Peacocks were at one time considered divine because they could eat poisonous plants and not die. many older paintings have peacocks in them, as a symbol of life or the divine. Also the feathers look like an eye, hence Windows of the Soul. There are seven feathers which is the number of completion, and the background is faint rainbow colors which to me mean promises that haven't quite come to pass yet.
