This wall art quilt was machine pieced and machine quilted. The design is original. Materials are 100% cotton fabric and 100% cotton batting. The quilt has a hanging sleeve on the back to hold a dowel rod so it can be hung on the wall.

Inspired by a trip to the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix during a visit to the Southwest this past week. I completed the pencil sketch (from a photo) during the plane ride back to KC. Wasting no time, ink and watercolor were applied this morning. Sometimes a work comes easy! Watercolor and ink sketch on Arches hot pressed 140# paper.

This impressionistic painting was inspired by my travels in Costa Rica. This particular view was from a photo I captured while hiking in Mistico Hanging Bridges Park, near Arenal Volcano, which can be seen in the back left of the painting.

On the family farm April 2025 and seemed like a good time to make some photographs - old barn, cumulus clouds, new grass emerging.

Mirror Image of my imagination

Inspired by a Friend’s garden and painted while sitting on their deck, overlooking the backyard. All the flowers and vegetables were in full bloom, having recently enjoyed several days of rain. This is my first time painting acrylic on board/panel. And I chose the more abstract approach of flattening the design, with focus on color and the cloudless blue sky we were under. Outlines were completed with acrylic paint pens.

Sunrise Splendor is all kilnformed and kilncasted glass with the butterfly and insect components installed with stand-offs and rare earth magnets for ease of transporting . The glass is mounted on brushed stainless steel and wired for hanging on the wall.

This 7” Tall x 6” Wide x 3” Deep 3-D multi-color fused glass dome shape and matching fused glass stand were created using glass millefiori and leaves cast in clear fusing glass.

Hand shaped fused glass flowers and leaves were used to create a 3-D effect. The glass millefiori and Vitrigraph stems were handmade, pulled and shaped by me in my studio. The completed design is bonded on clear glass.

This 10” round fused glass disk was created using hand created Vitrigraph vines created in my studio. The vitrigraph vines were fused into iridescent glass creating this 3-D effect. The fused glass stand is 12” long, 4” wide and 2” tall at the peak.

When leaving Weston MO I pass these three yellow houses silhouetted by a large hill . This imaged was imprinted in my mind during this winter of snow. I painted it from memory.

Kansas City locals lounge in the shade of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art's lawns on a summer Sunday. With figures engaged in various cosmopolitan activities of leisure, the image establishes post-impressionist colors and composition in a contemporary form.

Ceramic bowl with Kansas wheat imprint. Few plants are as resilient as hard winter wheat in Kansas! The wheat is planted in the fall, is cold tolerant and goes dormant in the winter, then regrows in the spring to produce a crop in variable weather conditions. Even with challenging weather, the crop often shows resilience. I use wheat from my sister’s farm in south central Kansas which has been in her husband’s family for four generations. I enjoy using natural items such as wheat to create lasting artwork. Each stalk of wheat is used only once so each piece is unique. Kansas Wheat Bowl was created using a slab of reclaimed dark clay with stalks of wheat pressed into the clay. The wheat was removed to leave the impression. Linen was used for additional texture. The bowl was finished with a shino glaze that accentuates the stalks of wheat. The back was glazed a dark oakwood brown. The irregular shape gives an earthy and organic form to this functional bowl. This piece is food, microwave, and dishwasher safe. The size is 10x10x2.5 inches. KM2567. IMG_9130.

An Upwards Dance uses thick placements of oil paint to create a moving scene. Bright red flowers swim along the lush colors on the canvas in joyful tranquility.

The white iris opens like a sigh, its petals soft as satin in the soft morning. Light clings to each curve, sliding over velvet folds, catching on edges that curl like fingertips in invitation.

This abstract painting features a singular vibrant blue flower set against a striking abstract background of swirling yellows and reds The bold colors create a dynamic contrast invoking feelings of warmth and passion while the blue flower radiates calmness and introspection from a singular resilient bloom.

Embellished Weaving

Experimenting with a pink underpainting, I wanted to capture the big sky and wide expanse of the Flint Hills. I think the pink of the sky and green hills compliment each other well. This painting was done on 1.5" deep wrapped canvas.

This is a view of a summer mountain in Colorado. The wide patch of yellow flowers attracted me to the spot, and I wanted to make them the star of the painting. It is painting on a 1.5" deep wrapped canvas.

What a beautiful site it is to see a bunch of tulips, in their colorful glory. One might think you are seeing red, but with closer look, there are many shades to create color and depth.

Summer storm blowing through the Flint Hills.

This was the most peaceful place to sit and paint. Lavender gives off such a wonderful relaxing aroma. These plants were growing wonderfully well and were being harvested slowly for their oils.

I watched a really disinterested employee talk on the phone in the sun while she over watered the poor sun scorched plants. The colors were fantastic and the contrast really interesting!

Happy and bright, sunflowers represent positivity, joy and loyalty. The strong stem and colorful petals are said to symbolize a solid foundation and joyful moments.

These wildflowers grow freely in prairies and ditches, swaying and dancing with every breeze like they're celebrating their own untamed existence.

Things are better in a crowd.
