Bio:

I am a local artist living in Kansas City. I capture the details of flowers and play with a large variety of color in my paintings. Surreality is my reality. I focus on watercolor, acrylic, mixed media, and Chinese painting. For creating mixed media art pieces, I like to reuse beads, lace, fabric, paper, card stock, plastic boxes, ribbons, stones, glass, and metal to show complex textures. My paintings reflect a sense of wonder. There is so much beauty in the world around us, even in the smallest flower. So please stop and feel the wonder when you see my paintings. I paint because I am inspired and filled with wonder at the world around me. My art works and photography were exhibited in Lake Quivira Clubhouse and art gallery in 2014 and 2017. My paintings were exhibited at Homer’s cafe in Overland Park and a mixed use gallery in downtown Kansas City. My painting “Flower in Vase• Escaping” is on the cover of the February 2019 issue of Evolving magazine. FlowerQ Fine Art was on exhibition on the second floor of the Lenexa city hall from February to March 2019. My painting “Flower in Vase• Escaping” and "KC Union Station" were chosen by Jones gallery for a fundraiser for children’s mercy KC in August 2019. ‘Life Labyrinth’ 30 X 40 inches mixed media artwork got an award of the landscape exhibition at Tomahawk Ridge community center.
