Bio:
My first real experience with watercolor and plein-air painting was while on a trip through Europe. I had bought a tiny travel watercolor kit and a sketchbook at the start of the trip in Madrid. As the tour bus made its way through the countryside, I painted quick impressionistic studies of lavender fields, red tile buildings and everything I could manage to capture in my sketchbook. I fell in love with the challenge of having limited time, the immediacy and transparency of watercolor, and of course, the beauty of my surroundings. I have been a graphic designer for many years, but my true love has always been painting. I continue to paint primarily in watercolor, and also love painting in oil. My paintings are often about the sky, its drama and infinite depth, the meditative beauty of nature and the creatures that call it home. My hope is that you enjoy these paintings as much as I do when I paint them. I have a BFA from University of Delaware, and I have continued my education with painting workshops, reading and practice. I have exhibited at Venues in Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico and Texas. My paintings are included in several private collections.
