Bio:

For 40 years I have been a fine art photographer/photojournalist. What attracts my eye has been with me since childhood. Growing up in Chicago and Indiana left strong imprints : first of structure and design, then later the softer landscape of woods and countryside. Later on I brought these impressions to bear on the cityscape of Kansas City and the Flint Hills of Kansas. In Kansas City, i had 18 years of black and white darkroom experience, Although I now shoot digitally, My past film experience taught me to wait for the right light, composition, and texture. My work has appeared in books on Kansas and Missouri, periodicals, calendars, murals, and posters. I've been accepted in numerous regional and national juried competitions. Eleven of my works were chosen and now installed throughout the state by virtue of New Mexico's Art in Public Places Program. In 2011, I was fortunate to receive an Artist-in-Residency at the Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona. Before moving to Cimarron, I was in museum education at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, then at the Lyon County Historical Museum in Emporia, Kansas. +
