Bio:
My interest in artistic expression through painting started 2 years after I was finally able to manage my mental health diagnosis with electric convulsive therapy. In addition to finding the right treatment I found a supportive and empowering clinicians and a case manager who led me to be refereed to therapeutic art classes and every thing changed. I have always enjoyed photography and taking the ordinary to a new level. When given the opportunity to paint, I discovered a whole new aspect to my life. I love to express myself and like to experiment with different materials from acrylic to powder and liquid watercolors. Some of my best paintings have been with a children’s set of watercolors., for me it’s not about the medium but about the inspiration and the journey. Some of called my techniques painterly. I paint fast and furiously as way to occupy my mind. My process hasn’t always been linear, but I’m proud of where I’m at and making art has definitely been a part of that. My paintings reflect my new and positive view on life.
