Bio:
I live in farm country in South East Missouri and relish the ebb and flow of the farming industry and nature's surrounding beauty. My art quest started while living and working in Los Angeles, CA. I began studying art and design at California State Long Beach and printmaking at Otis/Parsons Art Institute. My interest in art led me to a career representing artists and photographers located in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York. In 1992 I took my first art workshop with Maurice LaRioux in Santa Fe, New Mexico and was hooked on painting. I continued to study on my own and took workshops with known artists to learn the art of painting. I have been involved with art most of my life. Printmaking, fiber sculpture and graphic design are all part of who I am but painting is my true love. I look to previous careers as very important, since they were a molding of different mediums that formed what I do today.
