Bio:

I have drawn, painted and created since a young girl. I became obsessed with art in high school after placing 7th is state. This passion has been a part of me throughout my life. Although I have won awards in school shows and fairs, I truly have not put myself out there for jury or shows much. I have used my time to work in the commercial & fine art fields earning a living. Like all fine artists, I have sold some things. I have had 6 Limited Edition Lithographs and 8 giclee prints created of my artwork. I have an AA in Graphic Art, Certificate in Commercial Art. I have worked in the commercial & fine art industries since 1989. My career in art & printing has taught me a wide range of capabilities including but not limited to offset & screen printing machinery up to graphic design and store management, commercial sign painting, picture framing, fine art curating, event coordinating and so much more. My talent as an artist has taken me into teaching, creating and enjoying so many avenues of fine art. My favorite form of creating is Plein Air Painting. I work in a lot of the 2D medias. I mostly use watercolors, acrylics, oils, colored pencils, pen & ink, pastels and airbrushing. I currently own and operate Cohen's Art & Framing located in Platte City, MO. I do all of the things listed above. I host an art exhibit on the first Friday of every month. As a graphic artist & designer, I have work hard to help artist in creating fine art lithographs and digital printing. I offer garment printing. I do heat transfer t-shirts, cut vinyl, signage, banners, label, invitation, business cards and small job printing. I do custom picture framing complete with a Wizard digital mat cutter offering creative profession cut letters, shapes, embossing, pen tool and V-grooves. I have a great custom readymade program. In the gallery, we are always changing out the fine art to keep them new. Custom decor from old windows and barn wood is always available. Our shop is unique because we are unique. Personalizes service stays on the forefront. Everyone is treated as an important individual!
