Bio:
A Brief Statement about me, Erlene E C Flowers My interest in art started very early in life, and I have been involved in art– creating, designing, organizing exhibits and teaching ever since. After graduation from a technical high school, I worked as an artist in Michigan. Using this training, I earned my way through College earning a BA, Masters and specialist degrees. I .subsequently taught high school fine art for several years. I did some graduate studies at Universidad de Mexico where I studied with Raul Anguiano. In my studies there, I was greatly influenced by the works of Rufiano Tamayo and the muralists. I have a deep of love color. Most of my work is done predominately in acrylic and watercolor. Many of my works are spiritually based. I sometimes work in plein air and oil and belong to the Missouri Valley Impressionist Society. I moved to Lee's Summit, Missouri in 2004. Since then, I have exhibited at several mid western sites, including the, Kansas City Museum, Gore Museum in St. Joseph, and an international show through Period Gallery in Nebraska, Kemper Museum, Got Art Gallery in Lee’s Summit, Vine Street Studio in KCMO, Images Gallery in KS, Jazz Museum, and Koi Kato a gallery, in Chicago, Illinois. I am currently represented by Xanadu Gallery in Scottsdale, AZ. Studio: Signature Creations Studio Website: ErleneECFlowers.com
