Kansas City, MO 64113
Bio:
Having been an artist her entire life, Lorrie Eigles has a highly intuitive and spontaneous approach to making art. Sometimes she is inspired and begins with an idea or image and other times simply puts marks on the surface. In all cases she allows the imagery to unfold as authentically as possible. During different periods of life she has worked with water colors, acrylics, collage, color pencil with ink and paint markers on black paper. Lorrie has a Bachelor's degree in Art, Sociology and American Studies and a Master's degree in Counseling, both from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. Her work is currently showing at Swanky's in KCMO and has been shown at the Kansas City Artists Coalition, InterUrban ArtHouse, the Jewish Community Center Art Gallery, the Avila University Thornhill Gallery, the ARTichokes Gallery and the Epsten Gallery. Her award winning art is in private and business collections, including the Stowers Institute for Medical Research, throughout the United States.
