ARTIST BACKGROUND Pat Jessee Pat Jessee received her bachelors degree in art from the University of Kansas in 1965.She also studied at the Kansas City Art Institute and privately under several Kansas City Artists. Pat Jessee’s father was an artist in his own right, and through his interests, she acquired an early appreciation, enjoyment and freedom of expression of art. Her works have included various media: ceramics, sculpture, weaving, jewelry, printmaking, oil, acrylic, and watercolor painting, fabric banners and most recently pastels, which she really loves to do. These have enhanced her interest in painting life – the countryside, cities, and people capturing a moment in time. She also does portraits of adults and children. She also does murals in churches and in people’s homes, both Christian and secular, as well as Christian Banners by commission and painting commissions of a special place, Christian paintings and portraits Show and Galleries: In the past: the Jaberwock Gallery, King Henry’s Attalier, Raach’s Gallery, Jean Simpson Gallery, The Source Gallery, and Artichoke’s Gallery. In the past she has supported with her art the Tri-Delta Art Auction, KC Ballet, Channel 19 Auction, the Art Ministry for her church- Country Club Christian Church where she taught painting classes. She has done several murals in her church and another church, a baby’s room and banners including one for a church in Berkley, CA. She has been a member of the Greater Kansas City Art Association, Women’s Caucus on Art, and currently a member of the Mid-America Pastel Society. I was in an international juried pastel show in 2012, and several pastel shows in the last few years.Several purchase awards. I have a website patjesseecreations.com.
