Bio:
Marianne grew up in southwest Kansas where the sky stretches from one horizon to the other without obstruction. Where roads reach straight ahead like the lines on graph paper, the landscape so expansive it provided the enormous canvas from which Marianne first learned wide open spaces. Marianne moved to the Kansas City area 20 years ago where she began to spend more time developing her talent as a photographer. Constantly learning and snapping photos she increased in both technical skills and artistic expression. Her work includes portraiture, landscapes, skyscapes, special events and macro photography. It is the love of nature that brings her inner creativity to life. All things related to the process of the final photograph is pursued with equal enthusiasm- from setting up the shot, waiting for long periods of time for a specific event, snapping the shutter at that perfect moment, to post production where the final image is created and ultimately shared.
