Bio:

Marta Churchwell is a founding board member and past officer of the Joplin Regional Artists Coalition. She is also a member of The Tank public art group and she was on the design and painting team for Dreams Take Flight, the community mural at 15th and Main streets in Joplin. Formerly the development coordinator for Spiva Center for the Arts at Joplin, she is now a freelance writer and arts columnist for The Joplin Globe. Her jewelry has been in exhibits at Spiva Center for the Arts, Carthage’s artCentral, Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce, and Maple Uncommon Hotel Gallery at Columbus, Kan. She is an active exhibitor at Downtown Joplin Art Walk. She has just begun exhibiting her photography, having it displayed in shows at Spiva Center for the Arts and the Neosho Art Council Gallery.
