Bio:
Jim Ware, a local Lee’s Summit artist, has been fine tuning his art style for the last 10 years. He is active in the art community. He has appeared on multiple local television programs, participated in many juried art shows in the greater Kansas City area including a one-man show last year. His paintings have also appeared on local magazine covers. He gives back to his community by contributing his talents, pro bono, to charity auctions. Jim also gives art classes at the Got Art Gallery on Third in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Jim was not always an artist. Prior to retiring, he worked in the technologies industry. Although trained in art in the 70’s, he followed the higher salaries of technical jobs to rear a family. After retiring, he followed his heart and worked at his art full time. Within five years, he had developed his signature style which he named “Dissociative Impressionismâ€. “Dissociative Impressionism†is a combination of expressionism and impressionism. It entails brilliant colors and expressive brush strokes that fill the painting with energy. Jim wants the viewer to ‘feel’ his paintings, not just see them. His style doesn’t tell the entire story for the viewer. Many details are left out of his paintings. This is intentional. The viewers, in a sense, complete the painting for themselves making it ‘’their†painting. You can see these paintings and other styles as well on his website www.jimwareworks.com
