Bio:
Sir Rodney L has been an artist for as long as he can remember; his inspiration comes from childhood memories of his grandparent's farm in the High Plains of Kansas. In 1975, his family moved from Colorado to the Flint Hills region of Kansas, where Sir Rodney met and married his wife and raised their three children. Sir Rodney's work shifted from crayon and graphite to oil and watercolor in the early 1980s, and he became a certified Commercial and Production Artist and freelance illustrator in the 90s. He transitioned to digital in 2010 after receiving his first camera. It was a natural evolution, experimenting with rural & cattle photography and then quickly moving to composite photography. Sir Rodney has immersed himself in creating the Bovinians since 2017 and can't imagine doing anything else. His compositions begin with persona, costume and set creation, organization of models and cattle for photo sessions, and then hours in the studio creating the final visuals. His deep-seated desire to share humor and create "cowrageous" conversation by giving cattle personality through human body language can udderly stop one in their tracks.
