Bio:
From the very beginning, Kerry Smith had an extraordinary passion for drawing - even if he didn't realize it was the mysterious force behind his incessant doodling in grade school. A few years later, art classes brought to Kerry a new revelation that art wasn't just fun, it had power, it had purpose, and it could actually change the way people felt, thought and even behaved. As design director of Blackdog Creative, Smith continues to champion the role of design in corporate communications and identity design. His work has been featured in the design competitions of Print Magazine, How, and Logo Lounge. Kerry is also a fine artist and illustrator. His paintings are featured in Robynne Raye's 1000 Dog Portraits and have been displayed in several Midwest galleries. Including Art by America & Far Flung juried shows in Chicago. And staying true to his roots, Smith is an active member of various art organizations including, The Gogh-Getters and Studio 7. In his spare time, Smith writes screenplays, children’s books, collects WFL memorabilia and enjoys life.
