Bio:
Francine Bizal started drawing and painting from an early age. Her parents were very supportive and gave her private lessons. When she was in High School she was awarded a scholarship to the Kansas City Art Institute for the summer between her junior and senior year. She loved it made up her mind to attend college there. While at the Art Institute she majored in design classes and minored in painting, drawing and print making and graduated with a BFA degree. Her career was mainly in the Graphic Design field and she enjoyed her work and all the wonderful people she met, but after she retired she decided to concentrate on fine art. She has been painting almost daily for several years now and loves every minute of it. She paints flowers, landscapes, animals, and people. She enjoys each season of the year and likes to paint locations she visits when she travels, working from photographs she has taken. She has recently taken up Plein Air painting and found she really enjoys it. She has participated in a number of Plein Air events in the Kansas City, metro area and looks forward to traveling to other locations to paint.
