Bio:
I have been a professional photographer for 45 years. My career began in Kansas City, Missouri, first as a photo-journalist, then in fine art. My work has been published in magazines, books, and on calendars and posters. It seems what attracts my eye has been with me since childhood. Growing up in Chicago left strong impressions of structure and space, then the different landscape of Indiana woods and backroads had the same allure. Kansas City's architecture, then projects in the Flint Hills of Kansas gave me opportunities to explore both loves. Now, in New Mexico, the challenges, and joys, of trying to capture the essence of the s0uthwest's landscapes are many. Eleven of my works have been chosen by New Mexico's Art in Public Places program for installation throughout the state. Besides photography, I was in museum education: first at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, then at the Lyon County Historical Museum in Emporia, Kansas.
