Bio:
I grew up in a small Wisconsin farm town, where I spent much of my childhood drawing and painting. That early interest led me to study design and eventually move to New York City to attend the world-renowned Parsons School of Design. I spent more than a decade working in-house as a visual and apparel designer, developing clothing, branding, and digital experiences for brands including Victoria’s Secret PINK, Estée Lauder, and Gap. I’m now based in the Kansas City metro area, where I work as a designer for a resortwear brand. Outside of my professional work, my life centers around my family—raising two boys with my husband—and painting when I get the chance. My mixed-media paintings are an explore how ordinary forms - delicate flower, a human figure, a delipidated building - can symbolize the human journey: enduring hardships, experiencing renewal, and evolving into new versions of ourselves. I hope to highlight the balance between acknowledging life's tribulations while maintaining hope and optimism.
