Bio:
Teddy says, "Each day brings new insight into the world of color, values, and composition. Feeling the mood of the moment and translating it into a piece of art is an adventure. Learning to see is a lifelong process." An early retirement from her 30 year career as a Human Resources Professional, gave her the opportunity to pursue her passion for art. An accomplished artist, Teddy has received numerous awards. She received a purchase award at the 2014 Augusta, MO Plein Air Festival. Teddy's painting, "Off the Beaten Track" was on the judges top 10% list at the Missouri Valley Impressionist Society Annual Juried Show at the Albrecht Kemper Museum in St. Joseph, MO. Teddy works primarily in Oil and Acrylic. Her favorite subjects are landscape and equine art, although she has painted a wide variety of subjects. She has taken the opportunity to paint internationally in France and Scandinavia, although she finds her favorite subjects in the Midwest. Teddy began plein air painting in 2006. When she is not painting, Teddy teaches classes and workshops and encourages others to get involved in the art community. She also volunteers her time to several art organizations.
