Bio:

Janine Carter, Artsy Jaynine, is an abstract and contemporary artist from the Kansas City, Missouri area. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a BA in Studio Art in 1999 and went on to work at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art from 2000 to 2013. She works primarily with acrylic paint but her most recent works incorporate mixed media elements. Inspired by artisit such as Henri Matisse and Faith Ringgold, Janine loves to use bold, bright colors in much of her work.
