I'm Remy Wharry, a self-taught Black woman artist and entrepreneur from Kansas City, MO, dedicated to expressing my artistic vision of life and beauty through acrylic painting. I’ve been an artist since I was young, with a recent shift in taking my artistry more seriously. Since then I’ve received an art residency, art grants, completed commissioned paintings and murals, illustrated children’s books, shown at galleries, features in magazines, newspapers, and news segments. I've always believed that art has the power to inspire, uplift, and connect people from diverse backgrounds. With a background in education, I've honed my skills and developed a unique style that combines art education, acrylic painting technique, color theory, and impactful storytelling. My art is a reflection of my experiences as a Black woman, celebrating resilience, diversity, and beauty in every form. Whether it's vibrant murals, striking portraits, or intricate illustrations in children’s books, I aim to capture emotions and stories in every stroke.
