Bio:

Through Generations The history of oil painting in my family goes back to the early 19th century, when my great-grandfather led an art cooperative specializing in traditional Russian lacquer miniatures. These intricate paintings, named after their original center in Fedoskino—a village near Moscow known since the late 18th century—were a testament to our artistic heritage. I fondly remember being a young girl, accompanying my mother during her plein-air painting sessions. Initially, I would just watch and play nearby, but eventually, I joined her at the easel, learning the art of painting with her guidance. As the years went by and I moved to America, art became a refuge during the challenging process of assimilation. Even now, the glazing technique I learned when I was very young, remains a cornerstone of my work. This method involves applying paint in thin layers, building depth and luminosity. Art has been my constant companion through life's transitions, and I continue to cherish and practice the techniques that have been passed down through generations.
