Bio:
Peggy Wilson holds a MA in Painting from the University of Missouri Kansas City, and a BFA in Drawing/Painting from Southwest Missouri State University, Springfield, MO.. Peggy also earned a K-12 Life Certification for teaching art from William Jewell College, Liberty, MO. When teaching for North Kansas City School District, she received her training as an International Baccalaureate Art instructor. Currently retired and rewired, Peggy is a full-time artist. She has a kayaking-fisherman husband who loves the outdoors. They travel regularly in their vintage 1962 Airstream. Wherever he wants to fish is always a beautiful place to paint. Peggy is also a founding member of, and an administrator for, Urban Sketchers Kansas City, a chapter of International Urban Sketchers. She participates in Plein Air events locally and regionally. Although winning awards and selling her art is very nice, Peggy finds painting and sketching in the beautiful outdoors with friends and colleagues, the best reward.
