Bio:

Overland Park, Kansas-based illustrator and graphic designer Amanda McCollum has been working in the arts since 2010. While working as a face painter, caricature artist, and letter brush artist at the Walt Disneyland Resort, she spent much of her time outside, observing the small (and occasionally large) wildlife that humans share space with. Amanda’s work is inspired by the biodiversity we live among every day and our relationships to it. Through digital illustration she bridges the gap between technology and nature and hopes it inspires people to become more invested in the natural world around them. Amanda’s work was most recently featured in the member show at interurban art house, KS. and in The Dark Side show at 80 Santa Fe art gallery in Overland Park, KS. She grew up in the Chicagoland area, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design.
