Bio:
Virginia Grass Simmons has spent her life as a teacher and consultant for Wichita Public schools. She has taught oil painting at Mark Arts in Wichita for 12 years. She paints en pleinair in different areas of the country, however always loves returning home to paint Kansas's beautiful Flint Hills and prairie. Virginia has exhibited in many national and regional shows including Oil Painters of America, Missouri Valley Impressionist Society, Mark Arts faculty/ student exhibitions Beauchamp gallery 2 person show, Southwind Gallery exhibitions, Birger Sandzen Gallery and more. Virginia's painting, "Flint Hills Glory" was selected winner of 2016 Symphony in the Flint Hills competition. She is represented by Beauchamp Gallery.
