Bio:
Stacy Markley is a Flint Hills based artist, living and working on the Kansas prairie. Her work is often inspired by her childhood growing up on the banks of the Little Walnut River located in the foot of the Flint Hills and her time spent exploring the Kansas countryside. Stacy graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Kansas State University in 2013 with an emphasis in Drawing before working as a graphic designer in the non-profit sector for nearly a decade. She has commissioned art for a multitude of organizations including the North American Falconry Association (NAFA), Master Gardeners of Butler County, and the National Kidney Foundation. When she isn’t hovered over her trusty sewing machine or latest drawing, Stacy can be found wandering the prairie with her son and sketchbook in tow.
