Bio:
Joleen Goff’s artwork is a visual record of the interplay of color, texture, and pattern elements through printmaking, painting, and collage. She combines these elements with the intention of creating a layered, visual, narrative, which expresses a specific idea or simply a history of the processes involved. Joleen’s lifetime experience of teaching art to students, three-year-olds through adult, has challenged and inspired her own artmaking exploration with a wide variety of materials and processes. Specifically, she credits the three-year-old students in her Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art classes with sharing the magic of collage.
