Bio:
"Making things by hand, seeing my vision translated into a final piece is my passion," Pam Meyers, Art Director and Naturalist at MoonRiver Pottery In a family of artists and architects, I learned not only to appreciate art on a museum wall but also to see the beauty in a perfect peach, the varied hues from purple to red in a mountain range, the changing light and shadows from summer to fall. As a child, I always had an art project in the works with the warm and encouraging guidance of my mother. As a parent, my children were often found creating. One of the sweetest moments as a parent came when my four year old exclaimed, “Look Mom! I drawed something perfect!†As a teacher, classroom bulletin boards were an exciting blank canvas with endless possibilities. So it came as no surprise that one day when I picked up a ball of clay I felt my creative juices flowing. I like making things by hand, seeing how my vision translates into a final piece. For me, that creative time is replenishing and peaceful. I display my ceramic work at MoonRiver Pottery studio show room and on their website: moonriverpottery.com
