Clarissa Knighten left Corporate America in 2017 after 19 years to pursue her business, CEO of Rissa’s Artistic Design, and a commercial model. As an artist, Knighten creates jewelry for the everyday person as well as expressionary bold pieces for the fashion runway and for gallery exhibitions. She founded Rissa’s Artistic Design in 2007 as a way to navigate clinical depression. Part of Knighten’s purpose behind Rissa’s Artistic Design is to help people understand that they can use life’s challenges to do something positive and impactful. Rissa’s Artistic Design was birthed from counseling over depression and bulimia. She strongly feels that people have to remove the stigma surrounding mental illnesses.
