Bio:
Art has always been important to me. I love to experiment with new techniques, always finding ways to incorporate texture and color, most usually mixed mediums. The process is often the part that I get lost in and I allow it to direct the final piece. I have work in resin and acrylic paint, I have also enjoyed ceramics. My most recent work is an alternative photography method called cyanotype and the other medium I have worked in recently is encaustic, a wax painting medium. Nature is part of all my work. I am a member of the Northland Artists' Gallery, Weston, MO, an artists cooperative. My art is also displayed and for sale at the Albrecht Kemper Museum store in St. Joseph, MO and Centering Souls, Parkville, MO. and art is displayed at Mosaic Hospital in St. Joseph, MO. I am a high school art teacher of 20+ years, attended San Diego State University, MU, and William Jewell. I received a masters in Education Administration from UMKC.
