Bio:
I have a BS in art education and taught for 8 years, but when we started to have kids I gave up painting for textile arts--quilting seemed to work better with interruptions. I went back to school for a couple of more degrees and became a gerontologist, running the Center on Aging at Kansas State University. With COVID I started painting again and have since retired. Quilting seems to have influenced my painting as I have an interest in the juxtaposition of shapes and colors and how they affect mood.
