Bio:
In 2006 after leaving the corporate world, I pursued my art taking workshops and classes and honing my skills. First in pastels, then adding oils and acrylics to the mix. I mainly focus on oils and acrylics using a process that starts with transparent color and build out from there using brush and palette knife techniques. I use the transparent color to work "behind the scenes" and enhance the final top color layers. Painting in pleinair enhances my studio work. and I continue to paint alla prima in the studio to carry on the feeling of spontaneity that pleinair provides. I specialize in flowers, gardens and landscapes in oil and acrylics. I continue to paint animal portraits in pastel.
