Bio:
Peter received his BFA degree from the Kansas City Art Institute. He worked for Hallmark Cards for thirty-eight years. He now paints in oil, acrylic, watercolor and pastel. He was born in Ukraine and at the age of two the family moved to Germany . He attended 7 years of school there ;it was during this time that he became interested in art . At the age of 14 the family came to the US ,Newton , Kansas in 1952 . Sponsored by First Baptist Church .  While working for Hallmark Cards , he went on research trips and had a chance to visit a number of fine museums in this country and attended demos by Rex Brand , John Pike and Richard Schmid . He also took a Plein Air workshop with Skip Whitcomb at the Fechin Workshop in Taos N.M.  Peter has taught Saturday drawing classes at K.C. Art Institute and evening painting classes at the Jewish Community Center in Kansas City. He is a member of the Watercolor Honor Society, Springfield Museum, MO., KWS, MAPS . He has exhibited in AWS -N.Y.C., Springfield Museum, MO. Dunnegan Gallery of Art, Bolivar, MO. Spanish Pavilion, St Louis, MO and Gallery de Arc Angel, Brussels, Belgium.
