Bio:

Mary Beth Izard. The combination of the beauty of nature with enigmatic artistic elements invites the viewer to develop their own narrative when viewing my impressionistic “Storied Landscapes Art”. 
As a child, I loved to draw, but without academic opportunities or role models, I chose a “practical” college degree, business education, and later an MBA.  For 25 years I worked as a professor of Entrepreneurship and consultant and instructed others, in the classroom and through my books, on how to identify their passion and launch and grow businesses.  Six years ago my own passion for art was reignited when I enrolled in my first oil painting class. Subsequent courses and workshops enabled me to hone my artistic skills and develop my style.  Based in the Kansas City area, my frequent travels throughout the US and abroad provide the inspiration for many of my paintings. My work has been shown in juried art shows at Leawood Arts Show, Jones Gallery, Images Art Gallery, 2010 Art Gallery, Buttonwood Art Space and InterUrban ArtHouse.
