Bio:
Ever since I studied fine art at UW-Madison and earned a BFA from Art Center College of Design, I wanted to be a painter. But, to be practical, I worked for over 25 years as a graphic designer. I rekindled my love of painting in 2003 when I began to work with several other artists under the tutelage of Philomene Bennett in her West Bottoms studio. During the Great Recession, I lost my job as a designer and went back to school to become a social worker. After working in hospice for over 5 years, I decided leave my job in order to devote more of my energies to painting. My painting studio--aka my second home--is located in The Livestock Exchange Building, the place where a wonderful community of talented artists can be found.
