What does "home" mean to you? Is it your physical house? Someone else's house? Maybe it's the city you grew up in. Perhaps it's a thought or an image that brings you comfort. The theme of this exhibit is open to your own interpretation! Whatever reminds you of comfort or home is acceptable for this show! Subject matter may include: family, safety, comforting images, Kansas City or other cities, images of stability, abstracts, or really anything that makes you feel at home!
Artworks may include: paintings, photographs, 3D pieces, fiber works, jewelry and much more! 50% of sold artwork sales will go directly to artists, with the remaining 50% benefiting Amethyst Place.
The mission of Amethyst Place is to support women, recovering from drug and alcohol addicition, and their children by providing safe, drug-free housing and individulized services to promote healthy families. They help families overcome significant trauma and develop essential life skills. The vision of Amethyst Place is that families will successfully transition to drug-free, independent housing and healthy community living.
