First Friday Reception - June 3, 2016, 5-9pm

Doug Peete's Jazz For Good ensemble will be performing during Penn Valley Park Conservancy's "Plein Air" art reception! Food will also be provided by Chris Miller Foods & Event Planning! Great food, great art, great music... What else could you want on a First Friday??!

This is an art show filled with local scenes from Kansas City's iconic Penn Valley Park. Liberty Memorial, The Scout and Pioneer monuments, the lake, woods and paths,downtown views, all are in the park and in the gallery. These local scenes are selling quickly, so hurry over to preview and choose your painting!

Net proceeds benefit Penn Valley Park Conservancy.


Background:  The 3rd annual Penn Valley Plein Air Fest was held May 4-7, 2016. During this week, artists from around the country gathered to paint within the boundaries of Penn Valley Park in Kansas City, MO. Several evening quick painting competitions were held and all winners announced at an awards reception on May 7th.

All art is available for viewing by the public at Buttonwood Art Space through the end of June. All sales benefit Penn Valley Park Conservancy,  www.pennvalleypark.org.
