Bio:
I have been painting since high school, and drawing since I was very young. With a degree in Fine Arts from KU, I have made a career out of design. Painting has always been an outlet and opportunity to be free to create. My paintings have mainly focused on landscapes, but recently, I have taken a new direction in painting, and focusing on the abstract. These current works explore deep texture combined with colors and techniques that express emotion and create bold visual statements. Individually, they demonstrate a sculptural quality that brings aggressive depth together with hues that both jump and hide on the canvas. They tell a story of contrasts and visceral movement. In addition, these latest works demonstrate music and the emotions it brings, as expressed on canvas. Movement, color, texture, and tone all relate to both.
