Bio:
Artist’s Statement Leigh’s art is a culmination of over 30 years of experience in fine arts, graphic design, mural painting, and teaching. She is equally adept with oil, colored pencil, and acrylic media. Her art takes the viewer on a journey to the places that inspired her artwork. She captures her love of nature and its colors in her work. Eight years ago, Leigh joined a plein (open) air painting competition. She quickly fell in love with the immediacy and challenges of painting outdoors. Most of her work today is painted from life, from which she draws her inspiration, and each work has a life of its own.
